Thanks A1skinner!
Plane is located in Sarnia, Ontario. I'm currently overseas until next spring, so unfortunately I wont be flying it until then. Finished the inspection process and had it flightworthy a week before I had to leave. Thinking about building?

Tom
It is a 1960 7GCB with 150 hp. A poor man's Super Cub.

It has a crosswind stol kit out of Alaska. It was installed before I bought it. It includes a leading edge cuff.

Very nice little John. Is that also a whirlwind ground adjustable prop? 78"? I have a 76 gcbc amd have been wondering if the crosswcrosswind stol would be worth the install on not.

I can't take credit for the photo, but this is my 1956 C180 under the northern lights of Canada's Eastern Arctic.

OK, these are my planes:

This is Fouga Magister CM-170, French made, and I've had it since 1996.
I've done airshows in the US, Mexico, and all of Central America with it since then.

It first flew 2 months ago after 5 years of neglect, and 15 yrs of restoration

My favorite airplane: 1944 L4 Cub C85-8

The first three pix are of my airplane. It came from the Israeli AF

Patinloco, that is a beautiful assortment of aircraft. My favorite is probably the Stearman. Hope to meet you someday. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks FARMAULE, I would love to meet you also. I do love the Stearman also. I love flying it, and respect landing it, specially on pavement!!

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

M6, I also think that the 28 is a really beautiful airplane. I can't wait to finish it and start flying it. I would really like to bring it to the States this coming summer, and do some backcountry flying in Idaho.

From what I know of it, I truly believe that if I had to sell all my airplanes but one, it would be the 28. It's just a great plane: comfortable, STOL, fast, and twin engine reliability (if you believe in that). I'd love to show it to you sometime. We'll stay in touch.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

By the way M6, I don't know if you've read my original post on the Dornier? It's called "Dornier 28A-1". Soon after that I found out that it was not an A-1, but a B-1, which has bigger engines and three bladed prop. Also, a lot of people get it confused with the "D" model, which is a heavy clunker with geared engines. They're 2 very different airplanes.

It's taken me a lot of years to it together. I also have a couple of Grumman Ag-Cats that I want to make into an aerobatic "Show Cat" like Gene Soucy's, but it'll have to wait for the Dornier, and for the piggy bank to be refilled again. Once I finish the Ag-Cat, I'll have to decide whether to sell the Stearman or not. I don't think I can afford to keep both biplanes. I tend to like the Ag-Cat better, although the Stearman has a lot more value as a classic/vintage. We'll see. That's a couple of years away still.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

I failed to mention, the Ag-Cats are both wrecked. The plan is to make one good one out of the two fuselages. I have one good set of wings out the eight, and both engines are mid-time and running. Fortunately, the fuselages complement each other. Where one is wrecked, the other is OK, and vice versa. Essentially, all I have to do is cut both and put the solder the good sides together (sorta)!

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

PatinLoco, you have a great collection! One thing though: don't sell your Stearman. I did, because I had to, and I really miss it. I have flown a few different planes over the years and nothing actually comes close in beauty of flying to the Stearman. I'm sure you already know...
