Debrief, share, and hopefully learn from the mistakes of others.

I agree on how anybody could survive that. Another hold my beer and watch this moment.

I read the story on the Icelandic website it was originally posted on. It was an emergency situation apparently.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

The liveleak article under the video mentions that they were qualifying for an air race. I have no idea how air racing works in Iceland, but I cannot imagine how they would allow a three person crew to be on board... unless it was a "treasure hunt" race and not a speed race.
If it was a treasure hunt race, then I can't see how they needed to be flying low and fast (like a speed race) to qualify.
More questions than answers from my POV.

Seen this on other sites, seem to indicate that there was no problem with the plane, just a desire to do a good buzz job...perhaps the scuttlebut is wrong though...

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process...

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).
