Re: Plane late Wolfpoint to Billings

My brother in law and a neighbor pilot found the plane and they're heading back. That's all I know other than apparantly it was down somewhere they couldn't park a 206 :(

Went down in Vida MT, just 20 miles south of Wolfpoint. Still haven't heard anything else. We're thinking if there were good news, we'd have heard by now.

Re: Plane late Wolfpoint to Billings

Thanks for all the gracious comments everyone, I'll pass them along. This particular family is really tight so they're going to take it hard. Darren had mothballed his flying for about 15 years to raise a family, he'd just dusted off his ticket at 38 and bought a nice plane. He had an enviable position of being able to justify flying for work between farms AND a grass strip on both ends. AT this point, I probably won't hear any more about what happened, they think he got into clouds and spun it in.

Re: Plane late Wolfpoint to Billings

These endings always feel like such a kick in the guts. It's not hard to see a little bit of ourselves in each one of these stories.

Very sorry for the loss. Condolences to you and all who cared for him.
