The comparison between Mexico and Phoenix on the Baja Bush Pilots site should get some ugly things going with the BBB in Phoenix. Yes, there's crime in US cities (a lot of which in THAT particular city comes from, guess where??), but this is a really BS comparison.

Mexico needs a wake up call, but as long as they have beaches, warm weather and Norte Americanos.......business as usual.

Four adults and two children with some baggage and a lot more than 5 hours of fuel works in a 210, and that is without an engine upgrade that this 206 was supposed to have. Just have plenty of runway I thought a 206 would out haul a 210

I didn't say it wouldn't fly at that sort of weight. Of course, it depends on how big everyone was. Big engines make no difference in GW on a 206.

Also depends on what year the 206 is. The new ones are lardos.

It was reported to have been a turbo G model (1978). That's usually around 2000-2100 empty w/3600 gross (w/o flints). 5 hours sounds like either full LR stock tanks (84 gallons) or partial flints. Not a porker unless someone lost their mind on upgrades.

Find me a TU-206 with an empty weight of 2000-2100 pounds. That may be the Cessna advertising numbers, but I doubt there's one that is really that light.

Probably standard fuel. If they had Flint tanks, the GW goes to 3800, but the E/W goes up as well.

As far as having the federales at the airfield, I had an off duty fed foraging inside my tent at Punta San Francisquito on Christmas day 2005. My girlfriend and I chased him off.
