PMs won't leave outbox

Hiya Zane--

I've been trying to respond to a PM. First I tried a reply, and when I hit submit, it moved to an outbox, but then I can't figure out how to get it out of the outbox to send it. Next I tried doing it as a new PM, and again when I hit submit, it moved to the outbox, and I can't get it out of there to send it. I've had previous PMs to which I've replied without this problem. HELP!

Cary, the PM/message will stay in your outbox until the recipient reads the PM/message. The message has been sent and the message will move from the outbox to the sent box only after the recipient reads it. You and the system are working as it should (in BCP.org terms).

Or in salesmanship terms: that's not a problem, it's a feature.

It works quite well, as you can continue to edit the message that sits in the Outbox until it's read. If you've gotten a detail wrong and you want to update your message, or you really chewed someone's butt and later are struck by guilt, you can edit or delete the message while it still sits in the Outbox.

It's just a difference in terminology. Even with modern email you cannot edit your mail message once it's been sent because it's off to another server. Our messages all reside on this server.

OK. Shows my general lack of computer knowledge. I bow to your superior computer skills. :)
