Avid - I am trying really hard to get a departure clearance (wife) and would be up for a caravan. Might be able to get another Rans or two form Jackson. We usually head towards Winnemucca for the 1st fuel stop, but we could maybe head more north for a good intercept with you.

Courierguy - you attending?

Re: Poll on head/Plane count for the Annual BCP Fly In

Maybe in for 5 planes this year, but too early to tell for sure.
Times are tough in Oregon, The state wants to tax our businesses GROSS income (retroactive to 2009) vote coming up soon. If this goes through maybe I can catch a ride in Pats pick-up.
I don't mean for this to take a political turn, but these are the facts!

I don't know :-k ........I've got five hot babes to squeeze in the truck, too!! But they're all short and skinny, so shouldn't be a problem.

But really, I'm sure we can all help each other out and get everyone there and back.

Just a couple thoughts, isn't your plane trailerable? If so and if you want, you can drive it to either Caldwell or Emmett airports and leave your truck and trailer at the airport or park them at my house.

Or just stay along I-80 to Winnimucca, then follow Hwy 95 north to Boise. Depending how busy I am and what day you fly up, I can meet you down in Winnimucca or McDermit and fly along with you back up to Boise. Not sure the range on fuel for your plane, but we can buzz through the Owyhee River and Reservoir on the way to Caldwell/Boise :D (maybe meet in Lovelock for that route) (and we can stop in Fields, OR for fuel if you'll need it).

Do you have the SPOT? If not, maybe consider getting one before the trip. That would at least solve to ELT issue.

Re: Poll on head/Plane count for the Annual BCP Fly In

Thanks for the info. Yes my plane is trailerable but I don't like to haul it long distances. Airplanes don't like doing down the freeway at 65mph. I towed it 800 miles when I brought it home the first time but I totally restored it after that. I'm going to make sure I'm good to go with the wife. I'm going home to Idaho in April and May so not sure how June will work out too. I take 80 to Winnemuca spend the night with a bud in Fruitland and then I take 95 all the way to Grangeville when I go home. I'll have to try and hook up with some of you guys along the way sometime.

Zane, I guess you'd be the main guy to ask this...or anyone else if you want to chime in. Would you want me to by chance post this in GA News as a fly-in? It would probably bring out more people and give some a good reason to come to Johnson creek and explore the place!!

Whoah buddy, I had to lean back to read that font. :P

No, I'd appreciate this not being advertised anywhere but here and by word of mouth. To tell the truth, I'm kind of afraid of a huge turnout, and the increased accident potential associated with a fly-in bearing our name. Of course people are on their own, and anyone can head to JC anytime they want, but I think there is an optimal number of people for that campground and the facilities. Plus, I think it's just better all around if it's just the people in the know, who frequent the site.

Hey everyone just bumping this up. If you haven't voted yet or you would like to change your vote please do so now so I can give the caretakers of Johnson creek a closer number. As usual I know weather will play a big part of us all going! Can't wait!!!
