Prop Clocking O-300 Attemp #2

Thank to those that replied to my original thread regarding clocking or postitioning the prop on an O-300. I don't care about hand proping. I'm looking for some sort of documentation that spells this out. Ive heard rumor that there was a service letter in the late 50's from cessna that addresses changing the position but I can't find anyhing. Thanks in advance.

Re: Prop Clocking O-300 Attemp #2

First, I would like to apologize for my extremely limited computer skills. It is SL 7-8-53 and can be found in the member only section of the Cessna 170 Association site. I was able to post a photo of the SL in my photo album is you go there. Sorry I had to do it that way, and I don't have the time right now to figure out how to do it correctly. Now for my shameless plug for the 170 Association. As a group they have a level of expertise and knowledge regarding the 170 and early 172 difficult to find elsewhere plus an extensive data base in their maintenance library. This alone makes it possible for me to tolerate the personalities of a couple of major players in the association.

hope this helps, Tim
