Questions about Gaston's

I was just wondering if anyone's flown into Gastons and rented a boat or just did some shore fishing? Any tips, or suggestions?

I have and just fish from the shore . also did the float trip from state park just up from Gaston's .
It was a nice way to spend a hot afternoon.
The restaurant is worth the trip.

Come by Kingsley Field MO9 on the way down or back. I will buy you a meal at the Hanger Kafe.

Contact; taking our RV/182 tour to FLYOZ mid Oct for couple weeks of flying/biking (maybe kayak) for "leaf peeping". Got that term while working in ME several years back; sounded good so I'm using it everywhere. Anyway, I'll keep you posted and plan to drop by.

OBTW; Gaston's strip and restaurant are worth the trip. After 40+ yrs together wife/I are learning how to fish so we can take advantage of all the really cool places we fly into all over the country. Although, may decide fishing licenses are too $$$ in multiple states for retirees. :D

Lots of visual candy at the restaurant. It is on the bluff with big windows over the river and there are many old outboard motors and bikes hanging from the ceiling. And the food is good.

Thanks for the tips, I’m planning Sept 23 weekend. It’s time to wet a line.
