Recurring Registration

Are registrations only good for 3 years now? This is the second time I've been hit up for my $5 to reregister. According to the FAA site after searching my tailnumber it shows an expiration of Nov 13. I initially thought that it was going to be a one time deal. I guess not. At least they made the fee reasonable and made it easy to pay. Wish I could register my 4 vehicles for $5 every 3 years. :?

Re: Recurring Registration

Nope, it's now every three years. If you were unlucky and got hit early in the re-registration process, you should be about due again.

It's a small fee, but PITA at best, and probably costs the FAA more than $3 to process....

Re: Recurring Registration

At least it can be done online, unless you let it expire. I received my re-registration certificate in less than a week after I did it online--probably the single most efficient FAA action ever! :)
