I am pretty close to buying an AIrcam to build some multi hours. I know, they are expensive for what they are, but they are really cheap to fly and reasonably saleable. An "real" twin can be had much cheaper, but who knows if I could sell it reasonably quickly after I put the 60 to 80 hours on it. Running car gas at around $3 with 7 gallons an hour or so makes the flying pretty cheap. I have a few hours in one, recently did my multi sea in one. Pretty fun little toy.
One I am looking at has about 1000 hours on the engines, has not had a gearbox inspection, and all engine rubber parts minus fuel lines are about 10 years old. Another one has 1300hours, has had the gearbox inspection, but appears to also have old rubber parts.
Any Rotax users on here have thoughts on rubber parts, engine hours, gearbox inspection, or ???
The plan is to fly it from the mid south to Arizona, meet up with a few friends there, do some flying in the desert and then put it up for sale.
