When are you thinking of going? I'm planning an extended trip from home (Lake Tahoe, NV area) up the coast to Ketchikan, then continuing on, possibly to Talkeetna. Planning to visit the public cabins as well. I haven't set dates yet. Still on bushwheels. Plan to switch back to the Aerocets in a couple of weeks. Might be fun/smart to fly part of the journey with a wingman if it works out.

great - we'll start looking for a reasonable weather window around June 8th - but perhaps we can connect up there - the hot springs at Baranhof Island look really nice - fun stop to meet up for anyone in the area or in transit around then...

And while the AK cabins are nice (and so many!) - they are mostly low level - there are some cabins in BC on spectacular alpine lakes not
far off the route up to PAKT. I'll msg you about them.

Thank you! Amazing day so far. Weather was forecasted to keep me grounded for two days (1 Mile, 200' ceiling). Then... an act of God. The skies parted and it was VFR all day. Interesting, to say the least.

Recommend denny island bb, nice cabin and use of van

Arrived in Nanaimo, British Columbia today. Parked at the Nanaimo Flying Club and purchased some gas. The folks are very friendly, they offered me an outrageous fresh trout lunch. It was delicious!

Helped a guy who flys Cessna Caravans in Indonesia safety wire the oil pickup screen on his geared Continental C-172. It redlines @ 3000 RPMS.
