Ryobi (1)gal Wet/Dry cordless vacuum vs dirt clods, mud…

Mary surprised me with a fantastic gift: a Ryobi (1)gal Wet/Dry cordless vacuum! Empty 6.5LBS stored in the ship’s rear cargo locker.

One (backcountry) situation that can be very frustrating is trying to keep the Heli cabin clean and dry when ingressing off-airport! Muddy shorelines, leaves and dirt clods stuck to your boots can really get annoying.

My little cordless vacuum is definitely going to help “touch up the cabin” and clean off boots.

PS the vacuum has a plethora of optional attachments: micro brush(s) , extra long nozzles… Good for cleaning avionics fans and components.

That looks super cute. Maybe change this thread to "Expensive gadgets we want for Christmas" that are vaguely airplane related but we can't live without.

Been a “Milwaukee/Makita” dude for the last 30years. However, Mary thought the similar size vacuum Milwaukee offered might be a bit overpriced.

Never used a Ryobi cordless tool before and surprisingly started to see this vacuum might be a great value!

Note: Aftermath, me being totally stoked, I asked her to go back and get a Ryobi cordless ”Sazsall” , “Multi-tool” and a few batteries. Might even make a GoPro video of my new vacuum in action!

PS Milwaukee and Ryobi are owned by Techtronics. So cross pollination might be in the future.

That heater looks pretty slick. When I checked the website it said a hybrid version coming soon...plug in or Batt.

It's dual power, 115V or Lithium Ion battery.

It will also accept smaller camping size propane bottles or via hose a larger bottle as you see in the picture. It is sensitive to an overheat condition and will shutdown if sensed. I either lengthen or shorten the aluminum duct hose as required based on OAT to regulated the delivered heat levels.

It looks like the updated version offer temperature control and fan speed control, that sound like to very good upgrade to the model I have.
