Seattle Boeing field CFI/safety pilot
Not necessarily information about airstrips or airports, but more general info about a greater area or a route of flight.
Wanted to get some actual IFR practice this week as it looks like to get out of here I may need to file, and my autopilot is acting up so I might actually have to hand fly the plane. So I am looking for a CFI or a safety pilot who knows the ropes around Seattle to get me a bit more proficient. I am current, but just want to feel a bit better before I get the wife and kid in the plane for a IFR departure in busy airspace.
Any ideas for who to call would be welcome. Probably Monday or Tuesday would be ideal anytime of day.
Give me a call if you think it would be more efficient given the short notice, 970-946-7630
Thanks! Brad
By the way, Seattle is super awesome to fly to, we are loving it, and thanks for all the previous advice.

I'm familiar with flying IFR around here and I'm based at Boeing Field. I'm looking for a safety pilot myself this week, or may be able to safety for you in your ship ... although I've got no skywagon experience. PM me if you think I could help.

Spence Campbell has an IFR school on Boeing Field and is great at going up in your airplane and doing the IFR stuff. We often go up to Paine Field and fly an ILS, VOR/DME and RNAV, then fly back to KBFI. His number is (206) 920-9817 if you are interested.

Both Kit Warfield and Bob Rhinehart, CFIs at Seattle Seaplanes, might be able to help--neither is a CFII, but as CFIs flying out of Lake Union, they're intimately familiar with Seattle airspace. Both are truly outstanding instructors, too. Seattle Seaplanes phone is 206-329-9638.
