Server status and downtime

We had a pretty serious server incident today that took us down for several hours. There may be some downtime over the next few days to do maintenance.

Thank you for your patience.

Was a weird deal. Reconfigured two things in the past month, the VM rebooted itself and didn't want to come back online. There was an indication of something being confused with the swap mount, but Zane decided to just go with a known-good config in the interest of time.

Nope--never have used it. Just using an ancient laptop running XP. What do you suggest I do?

Well, I don't have an XP machine to test with, but the image that was restored was one that was known good from a couple versions ago so it's a mystery to me. Normally when things get mysterious I would suggest flushing your cookies, but I can't think of a failure mode that would apply to this set of circumstances.
