OK, this isn't your standard issue hangar sign, but it's what is on the wall in my T-Hangar. This is the propeller galaxy (NGC 7479). It is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Pegasus. Just like our propellers, this galaxy is spinning in the counter-clockwise direction. NGC 7479 is an extremely bright galaxy with an active galactic nucleus that contains a supermassive black hole. It is kind of like the black hole of expense that my plane is from time to time. This picture was taken by a 32-inch telescope, so it isn't a shot I was able to get with my toy 4" Maksutov-Cassegrain unit.

I also have a "PILF" sticker in my hangar that was a gift from my loving wife

I don't have authorization to share a picture of that sticker, but I wasn't explicitly barred from mentioning it...
