Great job Matt! Sorry about your bird, but as has already been said, an airplane can be replaced, people can not. Again, excellent work!

Two old timers once told me after being in an accident the day before my 16th birthday " Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!" Congratulations on being alive and everyone being okay!
Yes, it is hard to see a plane that you have worked on and devoted tons of time to mangled. They are are a part of the family. Like someone said in a previous post you can replace a plane but not people.

Matt, let me add my voice to the chorus- Glad it's simply money and metal, and I hope I can do as well as you when my turn comes. Really good having you here in this BCP community.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Matt and family are safely back in Denver as of today. Things have been a little hectic lately as you can imagine, but I know he is appreciative of everyone's kind words and support.

Aww Matt! I'm so sorry for you and your family's experience and your loss! But when airplanes stop working their sole duty is to get you and your pax to the ground in one piece! You did an excellent job doing that and I'm so happy you guys walked away!
