Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process...

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).
Success has many fathers...... Failure is an orphan.
Too fast, push it down, get the nose wheel down first, bounce, PIO, $$$.
On a Mooney, the 3rd porpoise reliably takes out the prop. Bounce once, best go around.
On a tricycle gear, land on the mains . . . problem solved.

PIOs can be avoided altogether by flying the approach at the proper airspeed (1.3 Vso + half of any gust factor), but assuming that they've started with the first bounce, many landings can be salvaged by just holding the nose up in the landing attitude and letting the airplane come down on the next bounce on the mains--assuming that the runway is long enough--perhaps adding a bit of power to cushion the arrival.
In the old days, the Mooney's prop would go on the 3rd one, agreed--but today it means an engine tear-down.
