Fishing????? You're fishing already?? What are you fishing for.. and where did you go. You can't just post "Great Fishing" and get away with that to another fly fisherman.

I'm fishing for rainbows in the Big Wood River, same as I have been all winter whenever it got above freezing. They don't call it Sun Valley for nothing! Huge midge hatch today.

:D

Took my five year old fishing this last weekend. He got the pot for first, most and largest. Dad did not have to help to much. He caught 7 all in the 1 to 2.5 range. It was the most wonderful day. What a way to get a little one into fishing.

I hope we can have this experience again.

Where on the Big Wood. Do you fly in somewhere or is it where you live. As you can probably tell I can't wait till next June when I can again wet a line in Idaho. After all that's why I bought the Maule.

Yeah, I'm happy to say I live here....I know it's a rotten job but someone's go to do it! You could fly in to Picabo and fish 300 yds away on Silver Creek....that is if the bull doesn't find you first.

Wow! You can see grass now. Big melt today at almost 50 degrees although that temp is at McCall not JC. Should be mostly grass by next week

Landed at Graham, ID today and overflew Atlanta (gettin' dark), but there's still plenty of snow. Best to hit it early or late to avoid the SLUSH.

Here in MN it's Easter (HE is Risen!) and yet we have a foot of snow on the ground. It was about 16 degrees this morning (and has been for a week) and no warm up in sight! :?

The ice on the lakes is too rotten under the surface to safely play on anymore and we're just stuck looking at the world and kicking at the snow in a wistful manner.

Al Gore must be around somewhere, whenever he shows up to sell his snake oil carbon emmisions to some congregation of the Global Warming faithful, the weather goes south and it starts freezing. Divine justice perhaps but good grief, I hate having to suffer along with them.

The floatplane convention is coming up fast - hope at least Steamboat Bay is open or we're going to have an interesting time picking up the pieces :D MELT ICE MELT!!

Well now I don't ever have to worry about my wife wanting to go to a fly-in at J.C.! If someone could just stage a fake snake on the ground we'd have it sewed up!

That's fine...they need that snow. Without some additional moisture, it's gonna be dry bones come july and august.

I can't wait for June!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

OK first the spider and now a whole herd of deer. Not one airplane in site. Must be 20 deer on the runway. or maybe they'sr elk.

Well, I made into Johnson Cr today, and we wern't the first, I noticed some tracks in the grass, and a LOT of deer scat. The grass is in good shape, dry, and starting to green.

Lots of deer and elk everywhere. Yesterday, I bet I saw 200+ on my way out of Taylor Ranch on Big Cr.

Hmm Good eats

Hey picture at 16:42 shows about 15 head of elk, or more out grazing. Great to see. I smacked a porkupine on a runway one time in a 172  . It would have been all over if it were an elk.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please give me time off to go the the BCP flyin on 6-15-07. Amen :)
