SOLD: Garmin GDL 51 XM Weather Receiver

For Sale: Garmin GDL 51 XM Weather Receiver
Price: $425
Works great. I upgraded to a GDL 52 about 6 months ago and no longer need it. Includes cigarette lighter adapter but does not have the cradle mount. Buyer pays shipping and Venmo preferred.

For those under 40: a “cigarette lighter” was a round port in automobiles that had provided electricity. You would take a small round coiled heating element and stick it into the hole. Over a short period of time, the electricity would convert to heat. You'd remove the glowing red element and touch it to the end of a cigarette in order to catch it on fire.

In chapter two, we will discuss what a cigarette is.

Yes, touched it to a cigarette... Never as kids did one touch it to your finger to see how hot it really was. Haha.

Some what related. I recently stay in a boutique style hotel in NYC. The room phones, even through they where digital resembled an older style rotary phone and this presented a challenge for some of the younger members of the traveling party.

Lol. And you had to push a button with your thumb to open the doors of most of those vehicles! Watching some of todays population trying to open those doors may be somewhat amusing.
