Solid Sheet Metal/Control Surface Shop
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
Looking for recommendations for a good shop to send a horizontal stab (C-185) for rebuild. Plus if they are in the southwest...CO, UT, NM, AZ. Any good experiences/horror stories to share?
Thanks

Have you contacted Beegles in Greeley Colorado? They know the 180 / 185 well.

I'd go with this gent, as opposed to the Foley guys:
The shop I used for aileron repairs:

I concur with MTV's shop also..forgot about them. My needs were very basic and I was on a tight budget for those projects.

I just installed a Cessna flap repaired (completely rebuilt) by Airframe Components by Williams in Indiana. Excellent job, fairly fast, easy to work with and a the quality was outstanding, every rivet was perfect. If you are going to ship it anyway you might as well ship it to them.

Black hurts replaced 4 ribs on my c180 horizontal in 2018. It was quick, and was cheaper than I thought it would be. I would use them again.
