BM, your probably right about the radio volume. I have the habit of going to the radio knob to increase or decerease it's volume so I never noticed, I guess. What you say makes the most sense.
What's wrong with HiFi? Stereo can be stereo and still sound like crap with no fidelity etc. I though high fidelity was still used to identify the quality of the sound and not just how many channels there are.
I was born in 1958, yes that makes me old to some.
I have always considered myself as somewhat an Audiophile. Is that term still used? Anyway I prefer the sound from an old tube type analog amplifier and a quality virgin vinyl record. Yeah, I guess I'm old.
But, quality wise the PS intercomm along with the Zulu headset is the best that I have found for an aircraft.
