Haha, Evan I'm sort of in the same boat you are right now. I recently bought a Supercub after making a bit of dough on the sale of my house. Seems like a sound financial decision, right?!?!![]()
My intent was to get back to the Supercub style of flying that I love so much, and that I missed for the last couple years. I figured I'd keep it around for the summer until I got my fill, then sell it and keep the Wagon. Fast forward to the present, and I'm having a really hard time trying to decide which one to get rid of.
I'd love to keep them both, but the reality is, I really can't afford two airplanes...at least not these two airplanes. I've been renting a place at Skypark here in Fresno, and it's a great place for a pilot to live....great neighbors, my airplane sitting right in my front yard, and a runway within walking distance of my front door. But if I want to stay here and stop pissing away money on rent, then I need to sell one of these airplanes for the down payment on a place here....they don't come up for sale too often, and I need to be ready to jump.
Without going into too much detail as to the reasons why, keeping the Supercub seems like the best decision for the better part of my mission. I've just got so much time and money invested into the Wagon, it will be painful to see her goI know, I know, first world problems, right?!?!
