Yea, I fixed Vickie's printer on Friday morning, in return she let me use it to print and sign some docs. I closed on my house in AK from Trench Aviation. Sometimes technology works and is even helpful....
So overall it was an amazing trip. I had clear skies, smooth air, and tailwinds the entire way down. Sherbert performed very well using 2 quarts of oil on the journey. Fuel costs were only about $500, I'm absolutely going to do this again when the Bearhawk is done.
The Canadians were super generous. UpNorth and I had a cold Anchorage brew and he put me up in his cabin at Carcross, and then the next night I stayed with Jody at Fort Grahame in the Trench. Jody is an amazing host, he fed me Dinner and Breakfast the next morning, and we had some time to enjoy a few beers and talk about airplanes. I recommend Fort Grahame as a great place to stay. Bring some cash to tip the cook, and chip in and enjoy full lodge services in the middle of one of the prettiest places I've ever been.
While at Fort Grahame, we had clear skies, and the stars came out. This was special to me because being in Alaska, I hadn't seen stars in several months. Here is a picture I took of Sherbert:
