Spot 2 revisited
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
You are probably right Ford, from seeing how sporatic the OK messages are from my visitor's Spot this week, I might need a couple of more backupbackup devices. I guess I will have to put up a greenhouse for Ellen to work on winter growouts here in the frozen north. Knowing of your considerable airplane expenses this year and with your south of the border connections, I have decided to hire you as marketing manager. This should help fund both of our aviation vices. Please send profits directly to my airplane account. Steve

Do you think if those people in Wyoming would have had a Spot 2 that it would have help find them?

Steve - your friends experience with Spot in NW Ontario is identical to mine. You simply can't rely on it to work every time. And as your case shows not receiving a message can cause panic just as much as receiving the help message. This product has a long way to go before I would bet anyone's life on it. Russ
