Re: Stehekin WA

Another MAJOR Washington State gem!

I'm not sure I'll take the Maule there again though. Even with the slowest psosible groundspeed on takeoff and landing it is pretty rough on my 7" mains and beat my plane up pretty good.

Thanks again for posting the video!!

Actually Stehekin was not rough at all, its even smoother than Tieton.

Re: Stehekin WA

"Rough" is a relative term.
Kinda like "short".

Nice video. How do you like your heads up AOA? Does the doughnut help? I've heard the device can be set with clean and flap AOA. Do you have the Flap AOA feature?

Have had mine for more than 1,000hrs and really like it.
I just memorized that my airplane stalls with 4 red lights full flaps, or 3 if a bit more power.
I configured mine at full flaps so with the blue light (dounut blue in the new ones) I can land as slow as possible and pulling the yoke all the way back prior to touch down and the airplane wont sink and do a nice soft touch down.

Great suggestion on technique. Thanks.
