STOL tips backcountry flying seminar Dates

We finally have some dates for some upcoming seminars. These are based on the STOL Tips article and video series off of here. We have had anything from Bonanzas to J3s show up. We try to keep these seminars super accessible from a cost perspective and convenience perspective so we are willing to travel if you and some friends want to round up 16 folks (that is way harder than it sounds for the record. and that is basically the minimum to cover costs). If you have taken one of our seminars feel free to chime in here and let me folks know what you thought. I hope see some of you there!

yea email/or phone is best5122891989. PM is bad. We do have a commitment to the do a few seminars at a private ranch that we built a bunch of strips on, but all of the instructors really like to travel and depending on the responses at our training playground we will start with traveling summer dates again. below are some of the strips at that training ground:

Patrick,

Many of us fly and teach techniques not in FAA publications. Some of us are in a position to speak and teach more openly. Please feel free to use anything from "Contact Flying, " "Safe Maneuvering Flight Techniques, and any of my posts. It is good that you are providing the training in your very good techniques.

Thanks Jim. We often talk about heavy loaded up takeoffs, looking like a duster on a 100 degree day! I certainly appreciate it and do actually reference stuff all the time. Thanks!

Re: STOL tips backcountry flying seminar Dates

I attended this seminar last May.

I've been flying for 40 years but I'm new to this type of flying so I figured I could use some instruction. I had no idea how little I knew. The seminar was great and everyone who attended had nothing put praise for it. Patrick helped me start to get a feel for the Maule and all of the instructors gave me lots to think about. Plus, I laughed my ass off.

We're working to get these guys back here for another seminar next Spring. If you have the chance to sign up I'd recommend it. Enjoy!

A bunch of members here took part in the creation of the strips to be used during the Wyoming 2017 dates. The scenery will not disappoint!
