Super Maule by Bill Duncan is Flying w/ MT Prop

Our friend of this forum and owner of Alaska Bushwheels, Bill Duncan has just completed his Special Backcountry Maule project. Flight Resource is proud to be a part of this through the design and build of a special 4-blade prop for him. Bill calls his plane the SuperMaule. It is powered by a 330HP IO-540 turning a 82” 4-blade MT composite propeller. Of course it is sporting his famous tires and the panel is converted to all flat screen digital. Look for this rig to set new take off distance records!

I believe I spy some double slotted fowler flaps on that mean motor scooter. Great mod!

Beautiful airplane, and as mentioned, we need more pictures and video.

I also love the color which would make a SAR scenario a little easier.

Sweet. I even like the cowling. It looks like you can raise the side of the cowl to access the engine without having to completely remove the top half of the cowling. I really like that from a day-to-day maintenance perspective. Is that a commonly available mod?

Along with the rest of the voyeurs here, I can't wait to see pics and videos of this beast in action.

I saw the video on facebook. Impressive! It sounds like the RPMs are cranked up to like 2850???? I can't post it here it is not on you tube. Y'all have to wait for Wup. I can add it has modified Super Cub wings, 80 gallons fuel.
