Lgw has new old stock 1 in stinger for around 10000$ just used one on a 58. I have seen 3 break at bottom. One for sure due to water got trapped in tube and froze then cracked tube.lgw tail wheel head are made from billet aluminum bushwheels tail wheel parts are cast aluminum.that is why lgw are more expensive.i have one of lgw 14 in tail wheels on my 180k for over 20 years.one of his first ones

It's taken me 4+ decades to understand the geometry of the nose gear of the airplanes I've flown, and I do understand that pretty well. I'm so glad that I don't have to understand the geometry of taildraggers!
