I didn't care much for the ems for bubs, kids would just rip them off, they are probably best for infants 6 months or less that don't move much

A couple youth model David Clark H10-13.4s seemed to work.

Here is my fam in my Dad's 182. Camden (2.5) is in the front seat with me and Parker (11mos) is in the back with mom. Cam has a DC headset I bought off of ebay and Parker has a DC headset I bought from the OSH aeromart with no cords or mic, I put new earseals on it for him.

I went ahead and ordered the Baby Banz last night. We're probably not quite ready for that first flight (I need some good sleep) but it will be soon

Haha I know... it's depressing. If I can just get an uninterrupted 3 hour stretch I'll be happy and fit for duty.

No offense to anyone or their kids, but how about something like Mutt Muffs? With the strap-on design, seems like they'd be more secure and harder for a kid to tear off than a conventional headset.

I've thought about this too. They might work.

If I was more of an entrepreneur and thought there was enough of a demand for it, I'd try to manufacture the one we used. Because it had the ear cups built in to the cap with material to tie under the chin, our kids never took them off. In fact, I don't remember them even trying.

Tried the mutt muffs on the kids. Ear seals were too hard and the cup was curved incorrectly. I'm sure the market for this sort of thing is pretty small.

Embarassing to say but that kid is probably more computer savvy than I am.

That's funny! How things change. That's actually a portable DVD player. I need to update the article with pics of the iPad's that now play that role! And yes, it amazing the things they are already learning. Adam saw me using PowerPoint the other day and he said, "Hey, that's PowerPoint! We use that in school."

I have been thinking about ear protection for 2 years now for my kiddo, some very good info on this here. Unfortunately she has not been up with me yet due to my suck fest work schedule of work all summer and fly all winter, but I'm getting some heat issues figured out in the 170 and its comfy to about -10 but my worries turn to the "what ifs" at that temp with a kid in back. One of these years I will get to fly on a nice warm summer day and she will be riding shotgun with me Thank you guys for posting all the good info and pics that you have.
