Also note at the end it talks about a need for a new fleet of fire bomber aircraft to defend against this terrorism/economic warfare.

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... :)
With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Eeeeek! Run for the hills. Oh, wait. Don't do that. Al Qaeda is gonna burn the hills.

Gotta give it to ol' Bin Laden. It sure was clever of the old coyote to have the Forest Sercus repress wildfire for the last century, drastically cut back on logging, and let our forest deteriorate to a haven for pine beetles and catastrophic wildfire. And then, to get people to build expensive, combustible homes in what we now call the wildland / urban interface. That, my friend was a stroke of sheer malevolent bucking frilliance!

Only in Washington DC could you hear grown adults talk seriously of submitting wildland firefighting to the same perverts and hopeless f*ckups presently in charge of airline security. I'll bet for mere billions, we could theoretically save millions on wildfires. Imagine- all the effectiveness, compassion, careful spending and brilliance of the folks who brought us the TSA, put to work in our forests.....

Al Qaeda in Colorado had one hell of a banner year, yessiree. :^o

Is this in hot air, yet? #-o

Which, by the way, is specifically what this is all about.....the head shed of the wildland fire community seeing the opportunity to tie terrorism to fire, and therefore get the government to spend all sorts of $$$$$$$ on new fire retardent aircraft.

Mepps is absolutely correct on all points. Good grief, there have been arson fires in the woods for decades, and nobody suggested they were terrorist plots.

Hopefully, nobody with the purse strings actually buys this trash.

Reminds me of when I played the fox in a pre-school production of Chicken Little in Mrs. Thompson's Kindergarten some 65 years ago. GRRRRRR!
