The New GoPro HD3
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
Its pretty darn good...except the remote only works if you have WFI available....in other words...its not that great for were we like to fly as we dont have WFI except when you have a signal.
The pictures however are really good. Hard to tell here as I had to scrunch to size in order to download. These are very low res. I texted the photo to a few of you here and the high res version is unreal!
Here are two of the 100 or so I took today playing around. This is a 5 minute flight from where our fly-in is tomorrow

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Looks pretty nice. Can you post a picture of how you mounted it to the horizontal? I'd like to try that but sure don't want it to fall off and hit somebody.

The camera communicates with the remote via WiFi but you do not need an Internet connection (router, hotspot, or otherwise). It is simply a WiFi signal between the camera and the remote.
At least that is how my GoPro HD2 with Bacpac works with my iPhone, iPad, and GoPro remote. No problems in the middle of nowhere or way up high.

Some versions have already shipped out.
The expensive one ships in a week or two. I just ordered mine this week.
I don't have a clue what Aktahoe is talking about with the wifi?
Please explain.

The remote (like a key fob) is supposed to create its own wifi connection to the camera- you don't need anything except the camera and the remote. Something is not set up right.

Nice shots AKT.
Any of you tech savvy guys know how the GoPro compares to the NFlight Plus Cam? I'd like to have a camera to mount to my headset for "pilot perspective" shots so it shoots what I look at and plugged into audio to pick up radio/intercom transmissions. Suggestions?
