Re: Tight Spots and the Pacer?

I learned to fly in a Pa 22/20 150 HP 40/45 Borer and 29 inch buchwheels with extended wings/droop tips. took it all over Alaska before I got my cub. At 2,000 lbs I wanted 1,000 ft runways/sandbars just to be safe. With me and fuel 700 was comfortable. With Bush Wheels I had no problems on beaches/sandbars/other strips. Do power on wheel landings to protect the tail and they are great backcountry planes. Every one is different so fly your plane to its capability's and you will be fine.
