Top pick: September-October
Worth a look: March, April-June
Worst heat & humidity: July-August
Too dark: November-February

I'd say September and October is best. That hold true for a lot of places. Spring can be good too, but April/May is when the worst thunderstorms seem to appear and that's also pollen season if you're so inclined. June can be good... it's after most of the pollen and sometimes still cool (50s or low 60s) at night.

I like camping when there's more daylight than dark, so that rules out most of the winter (and October if you want to get technical about it).

What a great photo. Pretty much sums up why I have an airplane. And the matching tent!
