Twin Otter at work

Fully loaded twin otter landing on a 2000 foot ice runway on the coast between Barrow and Deadhorse.

I think I saw a soccer mom driving one of those orange rigs here in Lake Oswego the other day.

Had an agreement with a Big Game guide on west side of Alaska range flying his dudes in and out plus meat hauls. Operated C206 off a bad river sandbar about 800 feet. :roll: Worked for a year, then flew in once and had a Twin Otter sitting there #-o Was the end of that contract 8) Dam always wanted one of those on floats. :cry:

Good news was he would pay charter rate for meat hauls and give us the meat when we got to town. Pilots were happy campers :mrgreen:

I got some hours in those out on the pipeline right of way. Way too much fun to be paid to do. They do go up a hill now......
