I've only been into KSLC once, on my first Angel Flight. It had to be one of the easiest flights into a large airport I can remember, and the controllers were very accommodating. I came in from the north on an IFR plan, and Million Air, where my pax were to change to another Angel Flight, is at the south end. Without my asking, the tower offered me a long landing, so I could fly rather than drive there.
It was capped, though, by the "crew car". I asked if I could borrow a car to go get some lunch, and the girl at the counter said, "what color would you like?" I replied that as long as it had 4 wheels and ran, I didn't care. So she handed me a set of keys and said, "I'll give you the red one." "OK". I walked out to find a bright red Jag S-type, with all of 800 miles on the odometer! Gorgeous car--and me dressed like I usually am in jeans and a plaid shirt. Lots of stares at the A&W where I got lunch!
