Weights of mounted 8.00s and 8.50s?

Ok, I'm just being lazy posting this question instead of hunting for the answer, but does anyone have handy the weights for built-up 8.00x6 and 8.50x6 on Cleveland wheels? I've already got the 8.50 approval, BTW.

I am now on 29" ABWs, and completely happy with them, but I have an extra set of cleveland wheels, and I was thinking of mounting up a set of go-fast wheels.

Thanks,

-DP

850x6 Airtrac: 16#

Desser (Aero Classics) website:

850x6 smoothies: "under ten pounds"

We have a set of 8.00 on Cleveland wheels

We have a set of 8:50 on Cleveland wheels +8 lbs

We have a set of 26" Goodyear's on Cleveland wheels +20 lbs.

This is what we got as a weight difference when weighing the Wheels, tires and tubes. Weight difference is total for both.

Thanks for the replies. Timely too- I just struck a deal today for a set of 8.50s and tubes.

Re: Weights of mounted 8.00s and 8.50s?

Hold the phone- I just changed it up to the Desser 8.50s instead. Only 10 lbs per tire (plus tube), and roughly same money and same diameter, plus smooth for my home gravel strips.
These are just backups for traveling, or for minimizing empty weight, so I don't really mind if they don't hold up like Goodyears. Had the wheels laying around already anyway.

I'd be interested in a pirep on the Desser smoothies after you have them.
Do they have wear indicators?
I've thought abut getting some, I'm thinking that they might be cushier than my heavy 6-ply Goodyear-carcassed Desser recaps given the same inflation pressure.

They do have wear indicators, they are nice and cushy and look great. I can't compare them to anything else, but I'm very satisfied with them.
