after scouring the interior of the new bird, the only "gripe" I can find is that the glue which holds some of the interior pieces in place is coming loose. Not a big deal but I'd like to take action now to keep it from progressing further and becoming a big deal. Any recommendations on what substance to use to stick this stuff back in place?
I'm a big fan of dap weldwood landau contact cement, and have a few gallons just around the corner from you at KSZP. I'm out there most Wednesdays and Thursday, your welcome to drop in and grab some if you like.
Never had to stick vinyl aircraft interiors BUT, Polyvinyl chloride is PVC, no matter where it is, and I have had excellent results sealing and sticking PVC using pvc pipe glue from the hardware stores. It actually solvent welds it together, better than any incompatible interface adhesive system. It can be purchased in a clear solution other than the usual grey, which make it invisible when dried. PVC is chemically the same no matter if its been formed into rigid pipe, soft tubing or vinyl Naugahyde . It's modulus of elasticity is controlled only by the amount of plasticizers infused into it's basic formula.
