Those sound like old Delta 737-200 registration numbers! I'll have to look that up now :D

Well, haven't checked in here in awhile. But I'll most likely come back next year to JC as I'm in the process of getting an old Turbo Commander. First generation 680V with the Century engine upgrade. Someone mentioned there had been TC's there before. I loved my Aerostar, but I'll be glad to be back in Commander. They're just rugged and can deal with all kinds of surfaces. I'm a camp-under-the-wing-frustrated-bush-flyer at heart anyway….

My 680V should be able to get in there easily as it clears 50ft in 1750ft at full 9400lbs/gw. Lightly loaded, and with flaps, I bet that can be closer to 1500ft or even less. Still, it's a big thing. My main concern would be FOD and just turning the goddamn thing around (although I do seem to recall it's pretty wide) and pushing it to rest. Might have to get me one of those little remote control caterpillar tugs.

Here's the old girl:

I wish! No, this is slumming it in the TP world - the very cheapest entry possible. First generation Dash 1's. Yeah, it's loud. So loud people do the Garret salute when they see it (stick fingers in ears). :D

Glad to hear you're getting back in to the Commander. A few pictures from Adam's previous trip to JC in the 520:

Nice! I flew a Turbo Commander for a while with -10s in SoCal. Fun plane! And while I never got a chance to fly them up there, I know at least one of them had been into JC.

Thanks - what great pictures! Lovely to see the old girl again. I bet she misses the Idaho summer now that she's stuck in Siberia.

An MU-2 went into Johnson Creek last week, apparently. Extremely cool!

From what I can tell, it looks like his ground roll is about an estimated 2000ft. Not bad for 10000lbs plane.
