Where did you fly today?
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Ok, I have a first....
I flew back from Las Vegas (VGT) to Columbia (O22) and had a tailwind of approx. 15 kts. If you'll recall last week, the flight down, I had up to a 40 kt tailwind. While at first, I thought what luck I've had lately, I'm now thinking, "when and where will I have to repay the tailwind gods?" Maybe this is repayment for all the headwind both ways flights I have had in the past?
Anyway, beautiful flight over Mammoth and Yosemite this am with little to no chop at 10:00 am local.

Home at 6pm both of us with ear to ear grins.
What color was that Mooney?!!? I saw one flying like an idiot through Windy Pass Saturday morning!

Dave,
That's what I'm thinking. Is there some kinda' voodoo thing I can do to keep the headwind gods from extracting their revenge???
BTW, How is the shoulder? All healed?

I've flown back and forth to the CA central valley six of the last eight weekends and had a headwind both ways every time.
I need some payback. 'The wind always blows from the direction you're goin'.

Just shuttled two guys over to Idaho Falls to pick up a truck in the 205. Flew back to GNG solo. Nice morning with a bit of smoke/haze. Smoooth over the desert.

Spent two days in the Alvord Desert and the Black Rock Desert. It was headwind coming from the Willamette Valley, but enjoyed the tail wind on the way home. Soaked in Double Hot in the Black Rock, camping on the playa below the spring. Air was crystal clear. What an improvement from a few weeks ago when the wild fires had it all smoked up.

Yesterday I went up to Graham and Pine in the 205. Kind of checked out one of the owners on those strips.
If anyone is coming that way check TFR's for the vicinity of Bumgartner/Pine. The FS had a prescribed burn going yesterday east of Pine that was getting real big.
I'll also be at Graham later today in the Super Cub and Graham, Weatherby, and Atlanta tomorrow in the S-Cub.

The presribed burn east of the reservoir is still going, no TFR though. An AStar and a Long Ranger working it on 122.9.

Flew to Boise today. Could've made it all the way non-stop but had to bail into Jockpot to drain the bladder before it exploded. The tower cleared me to land from twelve miles. Nice trip.

Super Cub - Atlanta (with walk to town for a buger at the Beaver Lodge), Warm Springs, Fairfield (with a walk to the Wrangler for a coffee shake), and a beach landing across from a herd of 30 or so Elk to snap a piture or two on the way back to GNG.
It was getting a bit bumpy toward the end with the frontal passage and all.

Well Strata if I could get you stop by to play we could get jealous together! I mean you're flying right west of GNG on your way to BOI.
It's 5:58a.m. right now, the coffee is brewin' and I'm checking weather. Going to be business today. I've got nine loads of seed to put out in the Thrush this morning. I'll be on 22.8 if your going by.

We'll be heading south tomorrow around 10:00am. If you're gonna be in the area I'll give you a shout.
