Which Light Weight Starter for the 0-360 Lycoming??
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
I'm building an early lycoming 0-360 for my Pacer and i'm going to put a light weight starter on it.

There seems to be more than one type and brand out there.

Any help as to what worked or didn't work for you would help in the decision as to which one to buy.
Thanks Guys.

When my engine was built 14 years ago, my builder put in a lightweight starter that literally broke after all of 4 starts. He replaced it immediately with a Sky-Tec, and that is still the same one that is in it, some 800 hours later. If it breaks, I'll go with another Sky-Tec.

When I replaced the starter on my old C150/150TD, everyone recommended buying the cheapest (and lightest) Skytec starter, the "flyweight". It comes in lefthand (LS) or right hand (PM) versions, and for either 122 or 149 tooth starter rings.
It worked great, no complaints whatsoever.
