Re: Why I Love The Brits - 77 y/o Pax Lands Plane

That is one "reality" video that doesn't need a bunch of false hyped up danger to get your attention.

When I was instructing, I concluded that if I had to, I could teach just about anyone to land an airplane in 3 or 4 hours, maybe less if that person was an especially fast learner. But to try to "teach" an absolute neophyte over the radio in a matter of minutes, I can't imagine doing. And at night, to boot!

Thanks for posting this, Greg.

Good vid. Thanks for the post.

I have been trying to convince my wife that she needs to have a better understanding of flight when it comes to being my passenger. I speak out loud regarding what I'm doing as I'm doing it in hopes she will learn from it and have a basic knowledge of where things are oriented on the panel. I really need to sit her down to watch this video, then I think I'd get a little more cooperation when I bring up her spending a few hours getting formal instruction from a CFI.

Good on the gent for getting down safely. The C172 is a great bird.
