WTB: Fuel Pod for Cessna 180/185

Looking to get another 100+ gallons on the 180 for some long x-water ferry flights. Currently, I think the ideal setup would likely be a Sorenson fuel pod - however am open to other ideas/options as well.

Thanks - definitely an interesting option if I can't find anything better. Hoping for something like the pod that can be more of a semi-permanent install, but this may be the next best thing for a reasonable price!

I have a 151 gallon sorenson tank that needs a new home. Needs a bit of work and probably too big for a 180 but I can send some pics.

Also looking for any information people might have with approved methods of hooking these or other ferry tanks up to refill the main tanks - or users info for these tanks? Curious to know what fuel pumps are often used for ferry tanks as well, and routing methods (1 wing or both, check valves, where they enter, etc.)

I'll point you at TurtlePac once more, there are pictorial examples of set-ups on their website. I'd copy the site address and post it but I'm not sure if thats complient with the BCP site rules.

One though might be a TrutlePac inside a conventional belly pod. It could then be removed leaving the pod for other uses when not required for extended range operations.

I know of a Sorensen pod for sale from a super cub. I don't think they make one for a 180 though. I've never heard of one at least.

I have tried to get a Turtle Pac to fit in the Cessna Pod. Too expensive to get one made specially to fit. Only the 37 Gal ones will fit. I have decided to put the bladder inside the cabin and use the pod for storage. Also if something goes wrong I can engage the autopilot and try and fix it if you have it in the cabin. Roll it up and stuff it in the pod once you have arrived, (NZ to Aus)

Regarding the Sorenson. There were two sizes and 180's did have them in the early days.
