Re: Zane - I want my Chili's coupon back

I , For one commend you for the insite and time you put into this website... A BIG thanks from me. =D> =D> =D> =D> .

Now, lets switch gears for a bit. Seems to me I read 'somewhere' that sites like this can generate income from advertisers by the amount of 'clicks' on their ads. If that is really true then maybe we should all just happen to click on all the ads that pop up each time we visit to supplement that area of revenue.... Just thinkin ya know....

Thanks again Zane..... you are the MAN . 8) 8) 8)

Ben.

This site is worth every penny I paid to access it :D Really more. Love it Zane, you do know if you charged everyone like $25 you wouldn't have to sold Z 170 #-o.

I don't need a 328i but I'll click on it anyway :P

Yeah, but as was mentioned, Google gets wise to that, and they will ding me or shut down my Adsense account, so only click those if you are genuinely interested. Plus, the companies who pay to have those ads placed pay by the click, and it's not really fair to them if you aren't clicking in earnest. But, I like your thinking, and it's the thought that counts.

Oh, I'll click less. I have been known to peruse what I've clicked though.

Re: Zane - I want my Chili's coupon back

The ads generate revenue even if nobody clicks them. Advertisers pay two amounts, one amount for clicks on ads, and another amount for users just seeing an ad (known as an impression). It takes on the order of 1000 impressions to equal the price for one click. Impression revenue is why some sites put so many ads on a page.

So, if you feel guilty for not clicking on the ads, just read the site more often. You're not just doing it to avoid taking out the trash, you're supporting an entire community of back country addicts!
