I wouldn't mind getting "recurrent" IFR and a trip like this would certainly be worth it if a guy needed to get from the east coast to the Midwest (CO). I think it's the way it was first presented that kinda caused the most question and the thread morphed into a math problem As you can see everybody has an opinion about operating/training costs.

Hey guys I'm getting paid to take this plane to Co. I'm a CFI and if you wanted to come along I will only charge you for the instruction time, but it's a one way trip so you will have to pay your way back. It would be a great way for you to log some X country IFR time.
