Thanks Zzz. Can't wait until we get to do it again. So much to see and do but so little time.

Re: Blackrock's Video Page

A high speed run out of Valdez for the interior! Weather was closing in so we had to go east to go west to Homer; a bit of a detour. Ceilings closed the pass not long after we cleared it. The combination if clouds and snow makes for some very spooky light that I'm sure the AK experienced flyers know all to well. Yikes!

This is sped up by 8x so about 960 mph  so you don''t get bored.

Re: Blackrock's Video Page

Good stuff Mike!

Sitting here picking up a load in the Thrush in Rockwell city IA only two things come to mind as I watch these...

A) was that really just a couple weeks ago? and B) can I go back? now?

I am such an under achiever  Your videos are awesome, and Coleen says the picture and video collection you sent was over the top!
Hope to see you at Club Lead weekend at Dusty Wings for the opener. 8)

Take care, Rob

Re: Blackrock's Video Page

Rob and Rob,

Thanks for the comments. Yes we had a blast as Rob can attest, and I'm the same way; why was it over so fast. It would be great to hop a smoker to return for another round.

Glad Coleen likes the photo and video collection. I haven't been through all of it yet, but there are some great photos of you two in there.

Club Lead is on the calendar so hope to make it!

Re: Blackrock's Video Page

This one is in Glacier Bay NP. We had great weather on the coast so we made a run for Juneau as the first leg on the way back.

Great videos Blackrock. If you go up there again and come through Alberta, hit me up. It'd be great to meet up.

Re: Blackrock's Video Page

Thanks A1. I'll do that if I get over that way again. I 've flown into Alberta quite a few times in the past but haven't for quite awhile, but you never know. We almost jumped over to Springbank on the way back but the weather kept us west.

Here is Rob leading us into Cordova. What a quaint village. We walked to town eating Salmon berries along the way and had dinner overlooking the docks.

What's really fascinating to me is I have flown that way to town many times and have never ever noticed all the underwater rivers, braids, and springs in Eyak from the air. The GoPro really captures them! Kind of like a sonar, but in real color 8)

Really obvious from about 1:59 to 2:09

Thanks Rob, I'm happy with how the GoPro performed on the trip. Now if the operator would have remembered to turn it on or even put in the wing mount more often, it would have been even better. I've got some work to do in that department... #-o

Thanks Cam! Always enjoy feedback.

Here is one from the return trip. We were somewhere along the southern half of the Rocky Mountain Trench. However, we were off course due to my just goofing off and stumbled across this.

Curious of what you all think of this one. It would have been better if the camera was outside, but at least we could turn it on.

Do you have the mobile App to remotely switch your GoPro on and off?
