I hear you. That situation is even worse on the pipeline in hilly terrain. The less vertical space we have to work with, the worse it is in low ceilings and less than a mile visibility. Foothills, old mountains like the Ozarks, desert mountains, and such can be more dangerous than the high mountains. However, 200' AGL in flat country is still enough vertical space for a crop duster or energy management turn. I don't think I have ever been higher than that in a Pawnee. Oh yea, ferrying one to Bainbridge, Mississippi from Ontario, Oregon. Caught some good ridge lift and went to 14,000 and 200 mph groundspeed.
