Hey Z

I got out some fantastic Oregon XXX Sharp Cheddar, wine & crackers. Great job!! The video & story were better than the cheddar & wine.

Thank you for your help. Greg setup the GoPro in ways I wouldn't have thought of, and shot much of the drone footage, hence the Bushwagon East credit.

I really enjoyed the "so Kyle fired up the -520" and 20 seconds of cranking later I was totally expecting you guys to just go for cheese and beer... haha. Then it fired.

L.L. (Also known as “Lawrence of Antarctica”) has been working hard on that patina, it’s going to be the next big craze like it is in certain custom car circles.

Truly outstanding footage in this one, NatGeo will be calling any day now...

Re: Deja Vu, Alaska....the film

Phenomenal footage.

But seriously, it's all in the editing.

I'm thoroughly impressed.
Timing of the shots, screen changes, multiple cam angles, etc etc etc

Most impressed by the sound mixing....use of music, selection of music, timing of music, use of ambient sound, use of silence.
And of course, great narration & dialogue.

It's professional grade! =D>

Thumbs up x 3

Watching it on a big screen the quality of the sound and camera work really comes out, first class.

The noise footprint of that -520D makes me incline towards the -470F :D

Re: Deja Vu, Alaska....the film

I saw this right after you first posted it, and bookmarked it to look at when I had time. We got roped into having 15 people over for Easter lunch, and I knew that if I wanted to remain married (40+ years now!) I better not watch an aviation video while she was working...

Finally, after everyone left, I sat down to watch your video. That was downright amazing! I called my wife over to see at least some of it, having to twist her arm a bit... Of course, timing being "perfect", she arrived just in time to "get the finger" in the refueling scene, and walked away in disgust... sigh... That aside, your ability to tell a story through the lens is pretty amazing. I could feel both the excitement in the flying and the peacefulness while sitting around the fire pit. The music enhanced every scene, and didn't "dominate" the video as so often happens with amateur videos on YouTube. Nicely done!

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it made me (once again) even more committed to someday getting to Alaska to see at least a little portion of that majestic beauty for myself. Hopefully, it will happen after I finish my Bearhawk Patrol...

WOW!! Thanks Zzz!! Just what a guy needs to watch to get him back in the mood. Haven't flown any (well a couple of hours) in over a year and a half! Bit of a little accident put me down for awhile so I have been living vicariously through the guys posting on here. Thanks!!

Re: Deja Vu, Alaska....the film

Yep great video mate, thoroughly enjoyed. I'd sure like to know how the hell you find time to fly, build, work and create short films as well as Dad duties, I think that makes it much more of a great effort, good job!

Is this what it was like when Warren Miller started out, are we witnessing this with Zane? Pretty cool stuff, I thought the MASH theme and the shot you played it over was brilliant.

Great work, very nicely done sir. The right time of year you might see a herd of bison wandering around on the strip up there at Rohn.
