Re: Flight Following

Will Rob fight his way out of that alien infested snake pit called SoCal, make his way across the vast high desert wastelands of Nevada and eastern Oregon, and be parked snug and warm in his simple, modest little cabin tonight as the big storm hits?

Gump-

I find myself greatly offended by your characterization of beautiful SoCal as only being nothing more than an alien infested snake pit. Perhaps you forget all that California has to offer the world, and just what we provide to the rest of the country. For instance, California boasts the 7th largest economy in the world. Oh, wait, that was based on 1997 figures, forget that one.

But, we have generated some of the greatest statesmen in the history of the country. Remember, Ronald Reagan started his political career here. So did many other notables such as Edmund Brown, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Maxine Waters....... Ah, oh crap, OK, lets skip that one too.

Well, at least we know we have produced some of the finest athletes and representatives of their sports in the history of athletics. I'm talking names like Steve Young, Joe Montana, Ryan Leaf, OJ Simpson, Tiger Woods, and ah, I mean uh, OK.

Actually Gump, I think I have to agree with you, but do you think it is really fair to lump all those innocent serpents in with aliens? I mean, have any snakes ever done anything to you?

Had to wait until he was back on the ground to post this one.

If'n it was me I'd be beating feet to Reno. Airlines, meals, whole lot nicer places to stay than Winnemucca.

Be interesting what he says about that. I was thinking the same but looking at the radar, there's a huge amount of snow just touching Reno to the northwest (Maybe over Reno by now).

When in danger, when in doubt, fly in circles and scream and shout!!!! #-o

Reno's snowing and turning shitty. All that time flying back and forth between Lovelock and Rye Patch he coulda been snug and warm down there in Mina, working on his third beer and burger by now.

Re: Flight Following

Thank you for watching out for me. I wish I had internet in the plane, I would have been hanging with Gump and Mr.Scout. Everybody says if you fly around enough eventually you will get stuck in some out of the way place. True! I might have been able to make Winnemucca if I had got on some semis bumper. Better to be on the ground wishing I was flying home than in the clouds and snow wishing I had stopped in Lovelock.

I left the camera cord in the plane so no pictures of the scud running today.

Thanks for all the laughs too. =D>

Re: Flight Following

It's still nice down here in Hawthorne, if it's flyable out of Lovelock.

Better place to stay and a whole lot less $$$$$
