Flying with piperpainter aka former crazy Mooney driver

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Flying with piperpainter aka former crazy Mooney driver

Hello everyone,
I decided that I would start my own thread since I do tend to take plenty of pictures. Lately things have been slow, why you ask? I've made some changes in life! First for those than knew my job, I am no longer active duty military, I am now in the reserves. aka I get to control my life a bit more! I now fly for work at Compass Airlines on the E-170 a pretty cool jet (see below). Also we have some news to announce and what better way than below! Janelle, my wife for those that don't know, is the one that came up with the idea. Anyway, I hope that I can make this thread enjoyable....

Well Aug isn't a good time for me to do fly in's..... Due Aug 10th we are excited! And I am glad I have 4 seats!

What I now fly, at least for now....hopefully bigger down the road!

All I could think was, "I wonder if Rob could get that E-170 into Soldier Bar"?!

Who'd you rather be flying with as an airliner passenger in the event of an emergency, some by the book never been off pavement pilot, or Rob?

Thanks for the compliment Tom, but I think you mean Bryan! He's the E-170 pilot, and I'm the C-170 pilot.

Congrats to you both
Was that your red mooney at caveman ? That was great flying.
Who would guess, of all the planes and pilots, I liked the way you handled the mooney.
happy day, Anita & lew

Congrats, Bryan--

I've never been able to get my own kids to think "I want to be a pilot", but my granddaughter may be the one:

This was taken on her 5th birthday, September 7, 2015. Each time I've asked her if she wants to fly in Grampa's airplane again, she confirms that she does. She's a real ball of fire, too.

Re: Flying with piperpainter aka crazy Mooney driver

I was looking at the picture marked "Lots of buttons and stuff.." and that is the first time I realized that the aircraft manufacturers actually realize that you pilots really do have big Kahoneez and build a non binding resting spot right into the seat. Big Congrats on the little one.
