HIGH SIERRA PIC THREAD: Post em up!

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: HIGH SIERRA PIC THREAD: Post em up!

Too much footage, too little time, and too little talent on my part. Nonetheless, I hope this kind of captures the great time I had with good friends.

It was a great weekend of good flying, great friends, guns, explosives, rockets, a pumpkin drop, and good food. This year I took a small detour through southern Oregon for a visit to the Alvord Desert and Fields Station before heading to the fly-in. The burger and shakes really are worth going there for! I can't wait to go back and check out the hot springs.

Here are some highlights of the weekend of flying. Thanks again everyone! Look forward to doing it all again next year. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks. I hope you don't mind me stealing your music find. I found the long version and 1) I really liked it and 2) it was just the right length so out of laziness I grabbed it! :D

No worries, I stole it from Matt in the first place, from his awesome mountain flying video!

The first three are Tom Weiss on Saturday evening. My condolences to Tom's family and friends. I was there Sunday morning and still can't sleep.

Re: HIGH SIERRA PIC THREAD: Post em up!

Nice job Joey! That's cool you found some of the wild horses.

Thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed it. It really was some of the best flying I've gotten in this year! I didn't realize that my newly found camera mount location was catching the leading edge of the wing until I got home. #-o Easy enough fix, just wish I had known it then! And I didn't have time to edit it out. Live and learn!

Re: HIGH SIERRA PIC THREAD: Post em up!

It has been a long week for a lot of us. This video is intended as a celebration of the time we all shared together last weekend.

Great work Ranch Pilot! Great work!

Here is some of the arial drone footage. You can see Tom and Tyler here fired up at "Wild horses" with the overhead shot.
